Berkeley Hall School’s Athletics Building is part of the second phase of the school’s 2.5-acre Master Plan for the south portion of its campus. The new building features a multipurpose gymnasium space with a full-size basketball court, student locker rooms, built-in spectator seating and coaches’ offices—all within a generous skylit interior. Simple surfaces suspended on a crisp structural frame give the building a sense of weightlessness and volume. At night, clerestory windows will glow from within as the roof seems to hover overhead.
